All student resources related to summer quarter are available at edcc.edu/summer2020. Please share with students!

Emergency Communication:

The Triton Alert Emergency Notification System is used to notify campus and community members when there is a campus closure or emergency situation that requires evacuation or securing in place. You are automatically enrolled to receive Triton Alerts through your college email address. You may also sign up to receive text messages on your mobile devices and/or additional email notifications to your personal email address.

 



Frequently Asked Questions


You must ship all purchases to Central Receiving. James Ellis, our warehouse operator, will contact you when your order is ready for pickup.

In the rare event that you must ship your purchase to a different location, you must email your supervisor, your PLT member, and the Purchasing Office with an explanation of the circumstances. All three must approve your shipping request before you make your purchase.

When making any purchase, please refer to the instructions in Gregory Hinton’s March 17 email. P-Card holders should also refer to the P-Card Team’s March 18 email.

What self care resources are available to me through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)? Are there new EAP resources that deal with issues related to COVID-19?

Where can I find tips online about self care and coping with the anxiety, grief, stress, loneliness, and other mental health issues?

Where can I find past issues of the LiveWell Weekly Digest?

How do I get approval if I need to come to campus?

Please don’t come to campus unless absolutely necessary.

Before coming to campus, please think about the necessity of your visit. Could you accomplish your task in a different way at home, serve students in a remote way, or could it wait until the college returns to on campus operations?

Remember, if you must come to campus to perform certain work-related activities, follow these guidelines below for the health and safety of our campus community:

  1. Get pre-approval from your supervisor before you plan to come to campus.
  2. Once you have approval, provide a 48-hour notice via email with the time, date, and location of your campus visit to your supervisor, security team at Security24.7@edcc.edu, and Stephanie.Teachman@edcc.edu, Executive Director of Facilities, Operation, and Capital Projects.
  3. Follow these return to campus steps:
    1. Complete a safety training.
    2. Complete a health self-assessment before and after each visit to campus.
    3. On the day of your visit, call the security team at 425.754.0154 when you arrive and when you leave.
  4. Bring your EdPass for keypad access to your building and/or office space(s).
  5. Come only during designated days and times: Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  6. You must practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from others. This is required to be in compliance with Gov. Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” executive order, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19, the Washington State Department of Health Workplace and Employer Resources & Recommendations, and in compliance with WA state requirements for “essential business”.

These protocols are in place so that we do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Edmonds College leadership continues to follow the guidance of local and state public health officials and state leaders. Please visit the CDC’s website for information about COVID-19 symptoms, what to do if you think you are sick, and how to protect yourself.

Please remember these recommendations as you plan your trip to campus

  1. Be prepared to sanitize or wipe down all surfaces you come in contact with – stair rails, door handles, desk drawers, flat surfaces, copiers, shared computers, phones, etc. These are commonly referred to as “touch points” and should be cleaned by you as you exit.
  2. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer coming and going.
  3. On the day of your visit, call the security team at 425.754.0154 when you arrive and when you leave.
  4. Bring your EdPass for keypad access to your building and/or office space(s).
  5. Complete a health self-assessment before each visit to campus.

  7. Dress accordingly. The heat in all buildings has been turned down to save energy and will not be adjusted for individual campus visits.

How do I make sure my students/employees check in, check out, and complete the weekly training?

You have two ways to check if your students and employees have completed the mandatory steps for returning to campus. Note to supervisors: please make sure you are listed on this spreadsheet. If you are not listed, then you will not be able to use either of the methods below. Email Sam Fox at samuel.fox@edcc.edu if you need to be added.

1. Email Notifications (ideal if you're only monitoring a few people)

You will receive an email every time someone checks in, checks out, or completes the weekly training. Notifications about check ins will indicate whether someone has passed or failed their health screening — not the reason for a failed screening. For every notification, the sender will appear as “Sam Fox via Smartsheet <automation@smartsheet.com>.” Do not click the Health Screening/Contact Tracing link at the top of the email — you do not have access to that link. You are automatically signed up for email notifications. If you want to unsubscribe from email notifications, click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email.

2. Smartsheet Dynamic View (ideal if you're monitoring a lot of people)

Smartsheet Dynamic View is a free app that allows you to see lists of all the check ins, check outs, and weekly trainings that your students/employees have completed. Unless you are monitoring very few students/employees, you will likely want to use Smartsheet Dynamic View instead of email notifications. Follow the instructions below to access the app:

  1. Go to dynamicview.smartsheet.com.
  2. Click “Login with a Smartsheet Account.”
  3. Click “Don’t have a login? Sign up.”
  4. Create a free account using the @edcc.edu version of your email address, not the @email.edcc.edu version. If you use the @email.edcc.edu version, the app won't work.
  5. On the top left, you will see a stack of three parallel lines, like this: menu. Click this icon to reveal the views available to you. They may already be visible.
  6. You will see four different views, listed below. Click one to open it.
    • Instructors: Check In/Out — This view allows instructors to see a list of all their students who have completed the check-in health screening and successfully checked out.
    • Instructors: Weekly Training — This view allows instructors to see a list of all their students who have completed the weekly training.
    • Supervisors: Check In/Out — This view allows supervisors to see a list of all their employees who have completed the check-in health screening and successfully checked out.
    • Supervisors: Weekly Training — This view allows supervisors to see a list of all their employees who have completed the weekly training.
  7. Please note: You will only be able to see your own students or employees with these views. Though you will be able to see if someone failed a health screening, you will not be able to see why they failed.

  • Washington 2-1-1: Connect with thousands of resources across the state. Call 2-1-1 or visit or visit wa211.org to find information about employment, financial services, health care, transportation, housing, and more.
  • Food: The college food bank is closed. Please use this map to find food banks and K-12 school food pickup sites.
  • Unemployment: You may apply for unemployment through the Employment Security Department. The department has programs designed to help people affected by COVID-19.
  • Mental health: Tips and hotlines assembled by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Free Facebook group for those in grief.
  • Internet: Comcast is providing free internet access for 60 days to new, low-income customers, providing free internet at Xfinity hotspots, and suspending its data plan rules.
  • Workers’ compensation and sick leave: Guidance and resources from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
  • Resources for disability related issues: The Governor's Committee on Disability Issues & Employment (GCDE) has compiled a list online.
  • Free technology training: Access lessons on Lynda.com with your library card.
