Every employee is required by the college to complete compliance training which consists of 6 courses: Diversity Basics, State Ethics, Sexual Harassment Prevention, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Workplace Civility and Respect Policy, and the Alcohol and Drug-Free Policy. Completions are automatically added to individual training records. This training assists employees to understand the federal, state, and/or college policies to which they are held accountable.
ODET has a library of books and DVDs/videos available for check out which are appropriate for personal skill-building and information or for group training.
The State of Washington has revised its State Procurement laws as per RCW 39.26.110, which requires all state employees, who are responsible for developing, executing or managing procurement or contracts, to take procurement or contract training courses.
